Antenna 6000 EL circuit board

After my antenna hadn’t been working for ~10 years (circuit board fried and the tab between the gears broke) I recently replaced the circuit board and the broken gear.

I tested the motor by directly using its wires and the motor works bringing the antenna up and down.

But when I plug in the antenna it doesn’t work when turning on the radio and operating the antenna switch. And it doesn’t work either when I tested the pins (pin 6 ground, pin 2 pos, pin 1 or 4 pos).

This leads me to believe that the new circuit board is not working correctly.

Are there other tests that I can run to properly diagnose this issue?

If you are testing with the proper inputs (I forget which pin is which offhand), then yes, it sounds like your replacement board is also DOA. Pretty common failure. I don't know what component on the board is the culprit but I have a number of defective boards. It's getting harder to locate good used ones (and, most sellers don't know how to test them).

Thank you! Well if nothing else the board was free! My kind mechanic donated the board and the gear.

I tested the inputs based off of this video (

). The antenna looks the same (also with 5-pin connection) even though it’s an older car. I can’t figure out if these are the right inputs from the ETM or attached documentation.

It doesn’t look like the board is available on eBay. Any leads for where a board can be sourced would be much appreciated!

Only source I know of for circuit boards is obtaining a good used antenna. Most any antenna of similar vintage (most 80's, some early 90's) should all share the same circuit board, even if the antenna is a different part number or from a different chassis.
