I had all of the components from my 2-amp 1992 becker 1432 system when I got my car and I decided to revert back to stock. I re-soldered the 4-pin plug to the headunit, and each amp had 4 wires cut where the speaker wire was spliced in. The wiring to the tuner seemed untouched, though I do no have a plug from the antenna there, it seems to go towards the front of the car for the modern headunit that was in there but I believe that is not important for the problem I'm having.
After connecting everything up as it seems like it had been left (sans wire from antenna signal to tuner) the radio makes a deep fuzzy farty "beep" when powering up and pressing buttons. It's getting signal from the CD changer, reading disks, reading tapes, antenna goes up and down, but it's silent unless you press a button and it glitchy beeps independent of the radio volume. It seems like the tuner is at fault here. I would believe bad amps would either not give any volume or give inconsistent volume, this seems like an issue between audio playing devices and the amps.
