big brake kit for the 500

Huge improvement over stock, that's for sure. However, these require 18" wheels AFAIK... and I thought the Stoptech kit has been NLA for years?

:scratchchin:

I will find out when I call a contact. I have an associated question to ask him.

Many, including Myself, find the MB Silver Arrow setup to be very suited to hard driving. They are much cheaper than all alternatives, fit under 17" EVO 2s, and are nearly a bolt - on.

I have a 355mm setup similar to the Stoptech on one car. It gives even better brake FEEL, although the extra braking ability and resistance to heat up are really unusable on the streets or highways, and they don't fit under 17 inch wheels or possibly some 18 inch wheels.

FWIW, I spoke to a tech from Stoptech about 6 years ago and found out that their rotors manufacturing was moved to China. I personally would not want to take a chance on part to go on my 036 from China, especially the brakes. The SA brake kit is the most suitable solution and one can get Zimmerman rotors, which are made in Germany.
