I see some posts in the board like this - might be handy to have a one stop thread to show what automotive goodness might be of interest to members.

No affiliation but here is one I like- a detailing company in the UK.

Links below. Very tempting...

Home Depot kit with charger & 5AH battery, $270 + tax:

Amazon bare tool, $200 + tax:

Free shipping from both vendors.
For what it's worth, Costco has their 48" LED shop lights on sale again. I love these things, as they're super bright and I don't have to deal with the flickering at low (50F) temperatures.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

If you're a parts picker, everything at PickNPull is 40% off thru Sunday.....take note you Cali guys with the plethora of stores PNP has there. Today.....yes PNP was open 9-2....I got a nice headlight I needed for a W208 for $10. Wahoo

And just for clarification, the LED shop lights at Costco are the same as the Amazon ones - Costco has them on sale until the 24th of December.

I need to replace/upgrade a few Makita 18V batteries. Looking for 4.0 or 5.0 ah units.

Haven't come across any screaming deals.... anybody seen any?

HD has a pair of 5.0 ah batteries for $159. Is that a good deal?

That's in the range on normal two-fer pricing.

AMZN currently has a two pack of 5.0's for $149.

Of the 7 or 8 batteries I have, most are 3.0s. One just died. Another is just about dead. And a couple more are of similar vintage.

Dunno about Makita batteries, but it seemed Amazon pricing was too good to be true for the Milwaukee FUEL M18 batteries. Best I can tell, you have to pay an arm+leg for genuine FUEL M18's, plus a few fingers or toes if buying a pair. Anything else is likely to be counterfeit. Which is why I'm debating on that high-torque 1/2" impact kit, I don't need another charger, but the 5.0 battery alone is prolly worth the $80 premium over the bare tool.

Here's a crazy offer that I stumbled across while looking for Makita batteries.

The only catch is that there appears to be some sort of disagreement between the Bosch offer terms and the Lowes retail site.

The biggest bang for the buck is the drill/driver/charger/batteryx2/demo hammer/battery for $229.

The problem is that when you port over to Lowes to transact, they want $299 for either deal. Which is not what Bosch is promoting.

If one could get the offer to work, and wasn't attached to one brand's cordless ecosystem, then this would be a killer deal.

Or if you're already in Bosch, then the switch it around and get 4 batteries (4.0ah) and a couple of spare toold.

NOCO boosters on sale at steep discount, today only:

Milwaukee's batteries are a few bucks more than Makita.
HD in-store pricing on the 6.0 two pack

Not directly related to the pre-Christmas shopping season, per se, but it's still a pretty good offer...

Batteries Plus typically offers a 10% discount if you order your products online and pick up (or have installed at no cost) at your local store.
Now, through the end of February, the discount is 20%. Code is CDP13175

Also there is a rebate on X2 Power AGM batteries (made by Northstar) of $30
Duracell AGMs have a $10 rebate.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that Duracell is made by East Penn, which makes Deka.
