Seems like a pointless activity on Husker’s part....
RevolutionParts is a catalog and ordering system that these dealership SUBSCRIBE to. It's a third-party service, and as such it is inaccurate quite often, or out of date/synch with MB.
For example, when MB executes a price increase, often on the 1st day of every month (or every few months), it can take a few days to a week or more for the RevParts parts catalog pricing to "catch up" and get back in sync.
It is possible for individual dealers to update the parts catalog if something goes NLA or comes back into stock. But think about it - how many dealer parts guys have the time or desire to mess around with their Internet parts catalog and commerce system, when all they have to do is look the part up in Paragon and get an instant update as to status, pricing and locations of parts in the US and Germany? Probably 99% of these parts guys DO NOT CARE about RevParts -- it's merely a convenient catalog and ordering front end that helps them fulfill parts orders, and that's it.
Please bookmark this site. ALWAYS use the letter "A" preceding, and no spaces in the part number:
MB Classic Parts Lookup
This Mercedes-Benz-run parts site is generally updated within 24 hours of the true availability of any part. The pricing is irrelevant to the US, but the availability data is INVALUABLE. I have it bookmarked on my browser.
One example -- when I recently purchased the last right-side late W124 front LCA arm as a spare part, my local dealer (MB Annapolis) told me that Paragon had indicated that the part was "FINAL NLA" and "COMMBLOCKED" and future orders for this part would be refused. That was the Paragon readout to him from his system.
This MB Classic parts site was updated in less than one day with the NLA/Discontinued status of the part, as well.
