Hi everyone, i almost done my restoration totally on my 500e. Quality job of 5 years. My Bodyshop guy is so great and talented guy, he did such a fantastic job but, he won't solve the cracks on the grill of front bumper. Do you mind can i fix it? May be someone selling bumper or cover? Or may be guys know the ways how to figure it out?
Thanks

The front bumper has been NLA for years, and finding a used one is nearly impossible. You'll need to find a body shop willing to fix the broken sections...

Thanks for fast respond. Got you. Please let me know if someone will sell the cover. Thanks

I'm no pro body work person by any means, but if I was working on this bumper ( I think it is very repairable), I would have grafted thin metal rods in a "C" shape and or molded a fine metal mesh directly behind the broken pieces... Even plastic welding hot staples, bent to shape, like these Amazon.com

EDIT Take a look at this video, at about 30sec, I think this method from behind will work, then, followed by a bumper epoxy with with fine metal mesh for strength

I've got the same style of bumper damage on mine. I've had the same thought as @Duh_Vinci with adding in re-inforcements + using some plastic welding to get things reconnected up. Then likely reinforce more post the attachment with some fiberglass or epoxy and dense plastic.

I'm about to attempt the same type of repair on a W210 bumper soon. Watched the same video.

For the posted inquiry, I would try aluminum stock bent to shape on the rear of the vertical stays with screws directly behind the horizontal slats and above where they are not visible. Once the alignment is correct some heat and plastic welding may yield a good result.

Metal rods helps, and plastic welding!
you have to check which kind of plastic your are repairing and use the appropriate repair plastic.
w124, w126, w140 bumpers are made with nowadays "rare" plastics, so it is important to find (smtimes expensive) repair kit.....
