comunication with EIZ and GM module problem..

Hi guys going through the car. Put my star scanner on and all works except can’t get comunication with ezl amd says GM not present
car runs perfect.

Either the 38-pin socket is dirty/corroded/damaged, or the multiplexer could have issues (check that all pins are present).

Eyeball the 38-pin socket, it should look like the photo below (also see thread here).

Just a reminder,the manual diagrams show the pins and numbers at the top of the diagram but in practice, they start at the bottom of the plug.

Correct - look closely at the black plastic connector, and you can see which holes have metal sockets, and which are empty. Match the pattern up to the diagram.

Ok guys this is what I did so far
one of the pins going to EZL was dirty( number 17 )
I now get vomunication with EZL
still don’t get comunication with BAS module
cleaned pin 8 , removed BAS module checked continuity betwwen pin 8 from socket and 33 from BAS module socket
and I get continuity . I can be the BAS module or the scanner
what should I do next?
