Hello
I have this problem with this thing leaking a lot of coolant. Has anyone had the same problem or does anyone know a good way to fix the leak.

Use an 8mm box end and some careful but firm leverage to compress the barbs and pop the elbow out. Reach through the upper hose hole.

A little to late.... when I tried to remove it from the inside the plastic just broke as soon as I touched it and some plastic parts fell down into the cooler. Im wondering if it will hurt the engine if I have plastic parts in the cooling system.

The plastic bits will just sit at the bottom of the radiator tank. They won't hurt anything. You can remove them if desired by taking the radiator out of the car and turning it upside down.
