Hi Experts, I am in a little bit of a Dilemma here, as 2 years ago I bought an E400, 1993, with E500 exterior and Interior specifications (look). The strange thing is that the front and rear fenders look factory built frok inside and outside and not modified. Was the E400, or part of them, also ordered with E500 Chassis in any way? Any light on this subject will be appreciated

I attached details pics of front and rear fenders while the car was raised for maintenance.

VIN: WDB1240341B932645
and decoder link is here : Checking VIN for Mercedes-Benz WDB1240341B932645 | CARInfo

thanks

Nice car, to my knowledge none of the E420/400E came with the flared wheel arches from factory. Perhaps the car has genuine E500E parts fitted and finished to a high standard, even earlier in the cars life. Looks like you also have an AMG Gen2 kit, at least the front bumper and the side skirts.

it seems the case. Yes it has the AMG Gen 2 Kit

Ha it does look sharp, but they should have extended the front axel too. Anyway, My car came from a PO who had dumbed down a fleet of cars to pedestrian sportlines. My e500 came complete with E420 fenders and cladding but they had a hard time with the wider front end. I think I bought fenders, cladding and a bumper before I left the dealership waiting on paperwork.
