E500 Radiator

Greetings from down under, does anyone know if the E500E radiator will fit a non .36 car?

Kevin
It will also fit the 124.034 (400E/E420)

Whilst it will fit width wise between the chassis rails the lower cross brace / rab mount tabs will vary on lesser models. So expect to have to make a custom lower rad support bar to accommodate a larger 124 radiator. Done it on my E
3.6 project car before.

Jon is correct. The .034/.036 radiators are interchangeable.

Otherwise, NO, they are not plug & play in other 124's for various reasons. Not all models have the plastic aeration fitting on the radiator, and the fittings for the ATF cooler are different as well.

It would help if you explained what exactly you are trying to do, and why.

Good day GSXR, I am sliding a 117 into my 230E body, thought a 500E radiator would be best choice before I went to a W126 unit. Looking to be as stock as possible in appearance.

Is the 230E a W124 chassis? You can use the largest radiator that will fit, and have appropriate connections for everything. The 500E radiator uses banjo bolts and seal rings at the ATF cooler. I think the 124.133 turbodiesel radiator has the same size core, but has compression fittings at the ATF cooler, and does not have the plastic aeration fitting at the top.
