Is it true that the late plastic/foam M119 intake tubes for the .036 are no longer available from MB?

i just read that on another mercedes forum that they are NLA. Just weird considering the amount of M119 cars that have been produced.

Re: E500E Foam Intake Tubes NLA?

I know that the early style tubes (the 1992-style "all foam" tubes) have not been available for some years, and have been superseded to the 1993-1994-style "foam+plastic" tubes.

The part number (119 090 14 82) still comes up in the MB parts catalog, with list price of $74 apiece, but that doesn't mean that they are still available. Perhaps someone can do a "Parts-be-gon" system check on this.

Re: E500E Foam Intake Tubes NLA?

That would seriously suck... if anyone confirms with Paragon, please let us know!

Re: E500E Foam Intake Tubes NLA?

I saw posts last week on the w202 AMG section of MB World saying they were not available any longer for the C43.

Re: E500E Foam Intake Tubes NLA?

I'm going to check with my local "stealer" this afternoon on availability.

Re: E500E Foam Intake Tubes NLA?

My dealer confirmed 54 currently in stock - order away. Not sure who dreamed up them being NLA. Anyone know the source of this? Link to other forum thread, etc?

E500E supporting a shiny aluminum laundry drier intake hose.
LooooL !!
The way I figure it is, if the poor dude can't do a bit of Googling to figure out there is an E500E-specific forum here (not to mention the 124 V-8 sub-forum at BW) then he deserves hanging out with the likes of "Itchy trigger finger" Jayare & Q*baert over there...

Let them eat cake, I say !!

Re: E500E Foam Intake Tubes NLA?

I'm going to fab up a set of laundry drier intake hoses tonight. Just got back from Home Depot with the raw materials.

I may call your stealership.....mine are operating "fine" right now but the foam part on mine is getting a little ugly and I'm sure won't pretty itself up on its own, so feel like I should probably stock a back up set just as an insurance policy against them becoming NLA

Re: E500E Foam Intake Tubes NLA?

OK, I give...! are the clothes drier hose ones ready to ship?

Seriously, I believe ya that they are available, but I was just checking for part numbers on EPC, using my 500E vin, the drawing shows them, but the locator number is greyed out.

Do you have the part numbers, the ones on my 500E are crispy critters.. Tnx

OK, I looked back into EPC again, and I "think" I see why someone would think they were NLA

using my vin on epc, the first page you open for "Air Cleaner" shows the numbers greyed out, thats why I started this response.

But still not beleiving it, I went back to EPC with my E420 vin, same shit different day. Now I'm really puzzled.

Back to EPC with the 500's vin, and just started poking around, well on drawing 2 of the air cleaner series, it shows drawing #65 as active.

After going to part number list for #65 on the drawing;

119 090 14 82 - 2 ea, replaces 119 090 11 82 and 119 090 14 82

Do these numbers make sense to you?

Thanks...O

I recently got 2 of these intake hoses for the 1992 500E- Pic of the label attached :gsxracer:

And to think you guys thought I was going to put laundry tubes on.....:scratchchin: I had initially tried to order them from Genuine Autoparts and they told me they were NLA- which was clearly incorrect!

I ordered a few weeks ago two new foam intake-hoses for my .036 at my mb dealer.
Very good price (35€ / 38 USD for one item).
I Asked if there are many in stock or not - my mb dealer said that there are many in stock and its not a problem to order this item. After i offered next day arrived - i am happy :-)
