Hello guys, i'm new in here and my english is not that good. So, a few weeks ago i saw that Benz on the street and i asked the owner for some info on the car. He told me that it was original E60 AMG 1995 with 184k kilometers on the clock. It even had the original panel for the radio, inside. Amazing! There was also a plate where the buttons for the windows are that says E500 LIMITED. The seats are velour with orange AMG letters. The engine and the transmissions are perfect! its amazing car! It even has the EVOII rims and brand new disks for the brakes. The price is 10k euro and i think it is okay? What do you guys think about this? How prices vary and do you think it can be sold easily?

no pics on the outside because of the snow..

$10k EUR (approx $15k USD) is a steal if that really is an E60 AMG. Look for the AMG decals under the hood that verify it's really a 6.0L engine (either on the valve cover, or radiator crossmember, or both - see photo below). I don't see the AMG stickers in your photos. The VIN number will tell you if it's a genuine "Limited" car, although it probably is since it has bird's-eye maple wood trim. Option code 958 in the EPC datacard indicates a "Limted" vehicle. There were only 500 Limiteds produced, and rumor is that only 12 of those were converted by AMG to E60 AMG Limiteds. If this really is one of the 12... wow... buy it quick before someone else does! It's also possible that a Limited was converted to 6.0L later on (i.e., not one of the original 12), and that would still be a very valuable car.

BTW - what country are you located in? Oh, and welcome to the forum!

Thank you, :)

well, i checked the VIN number in the mercedes-benz showroom, and on the computer came out E500/ E60 6.0 AMG. Its genuie. I am 23587% sure that this is a 6.0 engine, it even sounds like one.

i know very mutch about the w124 e60 limeted. my dad owns a couple of mercedes's, even one 124 e230 which he bought 1992 brand new.. so when he saw the e60 said 'its the same like ours?! whats the big deal?!' he doesnt respect these old cars because he already owns 124..

do you think i can sale it in germany with profit? and would i have problems with it? My brother said, if something happens with the engine there is no fixing..

Could you post the VIN number here? I'd like to check it out too!

Assuming it is in good condition and does not need any major repairs, then yes, I think you could make some $$$ by re-selling it. I'd buy it and keep it though! Shame we can't import these to the USA.

That's not quite true. You can repair the engine if needed, however it could be expensive. Most of the parts are still available from AMG. The one thing that is not available any more is the AMG struts & shocks. But the 6.0L pistons, gaskets, etc should be available for purchase.

We'd love to see more photos of this car - II've only ever seen one other E60 Limited for sale, in Japan. Photos of that car are at this link. Note that it's all original, including the original Limited upholstery, and has the AMG 6.0L decals above the driver side headlight.
