I'd be all over that if the price was right, if only for the engine...

:spend:

Does the motor run and is there any extensive damage not seen in the photos? There could certainly be possibilities here, at the very least with the engine.

:scratchchin:

It seems it is a conversion E60 (just the engine) .

Based on stickers (later style), no AMG exhaust and old style air intake hoses. However it is a guess cuz the car is messed up and it is hard to say what is original and what is not.

Anyway it is hard to see car like this one in such a poor condition .....

To get it or not is a matter of price, desire and patience.

P.S.

What are those hoses on top go for ? anybody knows ?

Decals are correct for 92+ AMG car.

The euro E60 never had a AMG exhaust, only OEM 500e exhaust. The AMG exhaust you have seen on other cars was only used on AMG of Japan built vehicles.

Well one of the photos is my car with the sticker that I bought few years ago.

The another photo is older style AMG sticker with the sort of black frame while my is all silver.

Not sure but I guess the one I bought is a newer style which replaced the old style decals.

So I assume the updated version came some time later than 1995 meaning that the E60 on the photo got the stickers and engine later than 95.

The AMG decals with the black frame were used from the 80's all the way up through 95 (E36 and C36 also had these). Early AMG decals had just the AMG letters, starting in 1992, these were changed to reflect the new logo (///AMG). I have also seen all silver E36 decals, so there were two styles for some reason used at the same time.

If your referring to the AMG spark plug decal. Those were black framed all the way up to 95 for the F8DC0 spark plugs (also for the H5DC spark plugs). For the E60 F7DCO plugs, the decal was always silver (even on the 92-93 6.0l cars, I have seen silver, but if you have seen black framed F7DCO decals, post a picture as I don't have any pictures of these). Also, just like the other AMG decals, the E36 also had an all silver F8DCO decal at the same time as the black framed F8DCO decal

I don't know what to make of the decal variance, maybe its a 94 vs. 95 change that just involved the W124, it sure didn't apply to the W202 1995 C36 though, as it had the black framed decals. Its another abnormality.

Regardless though, the decals on the E60, appear to be correct for the car (at least the spark plug decal, can't read the other)

Thanks for posting the picture, that's the first black framed F7DCO decal I have seen. Do you know what year of E60 that is from?

Lool , I have opposite case , I rarely have seen on E60 that are from Germany these all silver decals ... I am not sure what year of the car on the picture but the very first time I saw black framed decal was E60 AMG limited in Germany on mobile.de .
In addition, most of the time I see E60 W124 with the black framed decals, that is why I assumed it is old style factory decals.

I still think it is factory original decals cuz the are no longer available only all silver available ... The question now when the "all silver" was introduced ?

Ah, I see. Given the black decals were used up to 95 and they are no longer available, it makes sense to assume the silver decals have superseded the black framed ones. So what we are seeing in the pictures are cars where the decals have been replaced. Going to run with that assumption unless someone else chimes in with more viable information.

I really doubt that the owner would replace stickers on E60 , most likely it is conversion by some shop or company that installed newer all silver style stickers ... However it is all guess for now ...

By the way the sticker for E60 engine is no longer available (checked at my dealer)

That is a possibility as well.

"Top Secret" = BS. No VIN, no sale.

See if he will give you the last 6 digits only...
