That yellow (or black on earlier cars) emissions sticker IS NOT and NEVER HAS BEEN available, even though it has an MB part number.

A car not having that yellow sticker is a dead giveaway of having the radiator core support replaced, often due to front-end accident. Shops and dealers alike CANNOT get those yellow stickers.
I want to re-iterate -- for the record -- that the yellow (or black up to and including model year 1992) emissions sticker, which is found on the front passenger-side radiator upper core support on the E500E, is NOT and HAS NEVER BEEN available to the public, or to MB mechanic or repair shops, as a part that is supplied by MB. IT WAS ONLY SUPPLIED AND APPLIED DIRECTLY BY MB UNDER ITS OWN SUPERVISION, IN STRICTLY AUTHORIZED AND CONTROLLED SITUATIONS.

If you do see one of these stickers for sale on the open market, there is a 100% guarantee that it is a reproduction sticker, and IS NOT ORIGINAL NOR AN MB SUPPLIED part.
