We are delighted to be able to offer for sale one of first of twenty five limited edition models which were allocated to the United Kingdom in 1991. The Mercedes-Benz 500E was developed in conjunction with Porsche. It is believed that each hand built example took 18 days to complete. The 500E featured a totally new engine, hydraulic self levelling suspension, vented disc brakes, wider wheels and tyre set, sports suspension and the four seat configuration. All examples were left hand drive. At the time of production, the 500E was the fastest accelerating Mercedes ever produced, reaching 0-62mph in only 5.9 seconds. This example was originally supplied by Swinford Mercedes-Benz of Stourbridge and is presented in Brilliant Silver with Grey Leather Seating and has recently had a comprehensive service at Guildford Mercedes-Benz, works undertaken included fitment of a new battery, new exhaust section, new distributor caps and a Lubrication Service. The total invoice came to just over £3,000.00. The car is supplied with a comprehensive history file, complete with original bill of sale and numerous MOT certificates.

Optional Extras:
Electric Front Seating, Wooden Centre Console Box, Driver Side Airbag, Electric Roller Blind for Rear Screen, Anti Theft Warning Device, Heated Front Seating.

Re: 1994 E500 70k Miles in Dubai $6750

Buy it!

Cars of this age are really good value in Uae, I bought the Limited fugitive mentioned above last month for Aed 25K. Of course they are going to need some work having been stored and transported from Japan, but most of the cars that make it over have been well cared for by their Japanese owners.
I think most of the demand for 80's - 90's cars in Uae is from Expats. making the most of cheap fuel. The local Emirati's seem a little more interested in interesting late model performance cars - they can afford them!
I have found some excellent specialists, who have encyclopaedic knowledge of Mercs. from this era and the labour rates are far less than Europe.
Seems like the only hardship is getting parts for E500's, I found a LHS Hella light for mine yesterday for Aed600, RHS nowhere to be found tho, will have to get one from Germany at far greater cost!

Re: 1994 E500 70k Miles in Dubai $6750

I see!

Well even if they got 50% of this price it would be a major result.

Thanks for connecting the dots back to Avantegarde.

Bramley in the Uk are like Hatch & sons in the USA, they believe that everything they have is worth 50% more just because it is Bramley who is selling.
Also 3000 pounds for a service as described in their ad is more than daylight robbery.
It is also not a "limited edition" model, it was just one of the few cars that were designated as UK models, & they weren't even RHD. It is exactly the same as the German models sold in 1991.
