Rare: Mercedes 400E Original Owner in Cream Puff Condition - $7800 (Sandy Springs)

If you are looking for a collection quality W124 then you have one here. It is not a 500E but you get a great quality car for fraction of the price and one owner / one driver car. If you are a Mercedes enthusiast then you will appreciate what I have here.

Car is clean and everything works.. everything.... and is all original, comes with service history, all original manuals, spare keys and original tires. I add these AMG's as they better match the performance of this car.

For those not too familiar: the car is a 4.2 V8 and what many considered the last of the true hand build sedans made by Mercedes. ​

It's mechanically rough. I looked at it about 3 weeks ago. It's super clean and in excellent physical condition, but I bet it needs $5-8K spent on it to make it turn key ready. If you have your own shop it might be worth looking into.

I spoke to the fellow selling the car a few months ago, he was Supposed to come by so I could take a looksie...explained that if I put my eyes on it/was happy with what I saw that selling the car Here would be a LOT easier.

....Never did show, guess we have some idea as to why... :-/ He could still swing by, but I'm not going to hold my breath on that one.

I had it taken to a benz shop of the sellers choosing in Marietta. They told me they stopped looking it over at about $7,000 worth of work. It's been sitting, fuel system gummed up badly, it's got dry rotted everything in the front end, fluids neglected, lots of dried out leaking gaskets...etc. They literally said, "Please do not buy this car, you will regret it.". Also, you don't want the wheels in the pics, they rub badly. Once I met the seller, his story about the car is complete BS, he's a flipper...not that there's anything wrong with that. But this guy found a car that he figured he could make a buck on, he probably over paid not knowing how bad the car really was. He has another W124 E300D and it's a POS compared to mine. The fact that he didn't show up to let Jonathan see it says it all. It's a shame really.
