Hey do you have any idea of the dimensions/weight for my order? I might end up asking you to ship it if it's cheaper, but I would have to calculate it first to know for sure. Hope you can help.

Also, sending PayPal for the order cost (without shipping) in the meantime to get the ball rolling. Let me know!

Please confirm that you received my PayPal payment, as you still have me marked on the list in black, not in orange...steve h line 51

Updated to reflect payment. One of the challenges I've had is mapping some names in PayPal payments to their Board handles used. In hindsight, yours seems obvious.

The box for your shipment would be a USPS Priority Mail Large Flat Rate Box (12 1⁄4″ x 12 1⁄4″ x 6″). If you can provide me an address via PM, I can calculate the shipping costs and let you know.

Thanks for the payment on the order minus shipping.

Robert

You can look up the shipping price for a US Priority Mail large flat rate box to Canada on the USPS web site.

It's not particularly cheap.

I believe the Large FRB is $67.05 to Canada. The Medium FRB is $51.55.

Just pay the man $75 for shipping, and I'm sure @Ntrepid will refund you whatever is left over.

12 x 12 x 6 @ 3lbs (2kg) are the dimensions for your order. I'm using a Vancouver ZIP to calculate the shipping. You can see the prices reflected in table.

:update:

Here is where we stand as of 8:00A on 30 July:
 • A majority of you got payment in by the deadline of last night. (Thank you!)
 • International participants of the Group Buy now have shipping costs via the USPS in your row on the table. Note that the lesser price is for First Class International which has a tracking number but provides no details and is a best effort service. The greater of the two prices is for USPS Priority Mail International which has a tracking number which you can see its progress across one of the ponds and is a 6-10 day service.
All Participants in this Group Buy: Please look at your row on the table and verify that there is a value in orange which indicates payment received from you either as an order subtotal or the Order Total with shipping

I want to place the order with Germany today so that it can begin to be assembled and possibly ship out tomorrow. If you communicate with members who you see have no orange value in their row, please reach out to them.

Note: For those of you who may run a Group Buy like @a777fan, @5thscaleracer, @gerryvz, and I, it will make your life easier if you ask people who send you PayPal payments to put their 500EBoard handle in the PayPal payment notes. ;-)

One note on USPS Priority Mail International shipments. The tracking numbers supplied only work within US borders. Meaning that once the package leaves US shores, the tracking number will not generally reflect the updated status once it hits the borders of the country it is being sent to.

This means that you can see the progression of the package to the point when it leaves the Continental USA, but typically not beyond that. Never been a problem, but just wanted to raise that.

Based on hundreds of packages mailed, my experiences is that these Priority Mail boxes tend to take ~7 days, and up to 10 days, to reach Western European (UK, Ireland, France, Germany, etc.) countries and be delivered to recipients. To Australia, it is more like about two weeks, perhaps three weeks at the outside.

@Ntrepid, it would probably be good to add a column for those who have confirmed delivery of the packages, to track the final results.

Thanks Gerry. I'm thinking of adding a separate table to the first post showing the order tracking number.

I wish there was a way to change the text size of the entire table (thanks Microsoft for spoiling me with this kind of flexibility and making me believe this is a common everywhere!) so that I could provide a new column and then use text color to confirm receipt.

Robert

Unfortunately I don't think you can change the text size for the entire table -- you'd have to go into each entry and adjust it downward. Let me see if I can research something to make that easier, though. I have the same issue with the Wiki tables.

I figured it out. Much like HTML you just need to use before and after the text you want a particular size. The table reflects a font size of 3 now.

You can also just highlight the text you want to change the size of, and use the toolbar to change it (doing this in EDIT mode).

Hello, have I missed the boat on this? Looking for one unit and one set of labels please for shipping to Dubai, UAE. Regards, Bilal

:update:

The first fulfillment run has been shipped! For those of you who only ordered labels, they were shipped today. There is a tracking number with a hyperlink so you can easily track its progress to you.

@e500.org & @dionphaneuf Please look at your order quantities and confirm. If you need to change the number of labels you want to order (remember the unit order is a reservoir and label), reference post #117 to calculate the price and please let me know so I can update the table. If it is correct, please submit payment as soon as possible.

Just bought my E500 the other day--stumbled across this thread tonight while perusing the parts subforum for the first time! Am I too late to get in on this?

Also, question: the current sticker on mine is brown. What's up with that?

The label will typically go brown over the years.

Not too late to get in on the purchase of a label. Please tell me how many you need.

Update #4

The original label from my spare reservoir was damaged when we removed the sticker in order to get a scan for a more accurate color match. This gave me the opportunity to use of the new labels. see attached

Please make sure to remove the old label and all remaining adhesive residue. I made a mental note of the clocked position of the original label, but I'm not sure if they were randomly applied from the factory or in a specific orientation. The placement of the label is around the center of the opening so if you keep a uniform gap about 1-1.5mm the label lands in the correct spot naturally. There is a manufacturing seam in the plastic which keeps the label from being completely flat, but this is true of the factory label as well.

It looks great! Nice work!

Was it easy to get the label stuck on without any accidental creases or bubbling?

Here is a photo of mine, installed this past weekend, with label in original orientation that came from MB:

But, of course, the cap insert can be rotated to any orientation.

I had one slight "bubble" where the label lifted up over a molding seam in the bottle. Before I installed the new bottle on my car, I shot a small bit of super-glue under the rise in the label, and pushed it down for 60 second with my finger. That enabled the label to lie flat on the top of the bottle, where it had risen over the molded-in line.

For reference, here’s the stock label’s orientation in mine—looks like it might have just been a random orientation from car to car:

I'm not an expert, but I was able to get it down on my first try. The adhesive is pretty high tack so be careful not letting the label fold onto itself as I could see that being an issue, but i was able to carefully lift the label from reservoir to reposition as needed.

Wow...you did not waste any time!

Jeff

This was a brand new NOS bottle that I've been hoarding since 2014 or so. Note the MB emblem on the left vertical side. I decided to use it on my resto job, rather than wait for the @Ntrepid bottles to arrive. I'm going to keep and re-label my old bottle, and hopefully clean it.

Might also be recommended to make a cut in the backer paper @ 12 and 6 so that you can lay the label down flat and then peel towards 3 and 9.

Robert

I always forget to do that when applying labels to things that require precision and symmetry--thanks for the reminder. :)

Also... If anyone should get an air bubble while applying  puncture the center with a pin and flatten.

drew

It may be helpful to shave any manufacturing seam off with an Exacto knife prior to applying the new label.

drew

While there's an impromptu advice roundtable going one...

If you decide to trim the seam on the bottle, be sure to cut away from you.
It's very tempting to pull toward you.
I once managed to put a utility knife into my thorax while trimming something similar. Only took a moment of stupidity to earn a trip to the ER.

The only funny part of the episode was the doctor running through the self-harm questionnaire to see if I needed "help."
