Headlight lens separation? Advice’s needed

So I have a couple of new Depo headlight lens that I ordered for experimental purposes. I was hoping I could physically separate the clear polycarbonate lens from the gray PBT + GF 30% frame. It appears to me that the two plastic pieces have been Welded together. At first I thought maybe I could slowly heat the assembly in the oven to separate but I’m not sure this would work. Keep in mind the goal is to separate and still be able to reattach the two components. Me brain is smoking, oh. Do me have a material scientist in the house, someone with a recommendation, thanks.

I have no idea if heat works, but, you could try a heat gun? It will localize the heat more should give you more control than heating the entire assembly up to 220+F ?

Typically to separate the plastic housing, you heat treat it in the oven. That should soften the sealant. Chk youtube as thats how I learned to do it
