Heat-shrink Tape Recommendations

I’m looking for the best heat-shrink tape to use where heat-shrink tubing would be impracticable—Something that when melted holds as well as if tubing was used and won’t come unraveled as it ages. Anyone have any actual experiences? Thanks!

I have got nothing for you, I have used the sheathing to protect electrical and vacuum tubing but that was when installing new stuff. Under the car I replaced the corrugated stuff with newer, smaller diameter stuff (split) and that was pretty simple as a protection - not seen with the hood open... so to speak.

I used black cloth Tesa brand wiring harness tape. High quality self adhesive tape and same as MB use I believe.
I have a few rolls of Tesa. I was hoping to get a result similar to heat shrink tubing without having to remove a connector to slide the tubing on. The reviews of heat shrink tape on Amazon don’t sound too good and I could probably get the same results using Tesa tape.
