While the overall paint quality on my 500E still looks good:

.... i noticed a dent here (close to right front door, upper part of the fender):

How to get rid of it the best way?

A more close-up picture would help in assessing the severity of your dent.
But if this is the area you are talking about (see picture), it will be a challenging Do-It-Yourself job, even with the proper tools, because the dent falls along the horizontal fender line & not on a flat area of the fender.
The fender may have to be removed for a proper repair. If you want it cosmetically correct, show the dent to several professional body shops for price quotes.
Oh Christian, you know the best way . Question is what is best for you. Of course the proper way is a new fender and paint, but a good body shop that can beat it out, filler it, sand it down and respray with a good a blend to the next panel, i.e the door, would be an acceptable route.

Here in London I sometimes use these guys so called "paintless dent removal", where by they massage it from the inside slowly with various hand tools. However,(as derfuror pointed out) depending on the size of the dent and being on the line where the crease is, it can be difficult to push and in most cases they can only remove about 80% of the dent. This is probably the cheapest route but all depends what your eye pleases.

Very annoying! Sometimes these dents just come out from nowhere and especially show up when you're cleaning the car, then your day is ruined and have sleepless night coz you can't decide whether just to live with it or have it repaired! :banghead:

I feel for you, mate.

Not a bad place- dentless guys can do it!

MB has used Dentless techniques on the production line for years- instead of filling/painting accidents. There is 100% access on a benz. A dentless guy I know absolutely loves doing W124's. I've seen them do major caved in doors- huge dents with crowns. I've got a good eye and it can be unoticable if the paint is not broken. Cheapest to do with cash money After the Christmas holidays- Jan/Feb is very slow for them. If you remove the inner fender panel- probably looking at $100.
