I get the impression its a original box refinished in leather with a suede lining. Also it does state its Zebrano wood.

Translated text:

Original Mercedes Benz storage box / armrest with blind, finished in high-quality calfskin leather and Zebrano veneer, with suede interior lining, fits Mercedes W124 E-Class saloon, estate and Coupe Year 86-96 (all models).

material:

100% real wood + 100% genuine leather

Features:

Drop refined, high-quality workmanship.

The individual design sets the tone in the cockpit and gives your car a special exclusive touch individuals.

Wood is a natural product! Variations in color and grain are possible!

Other accessories:

Many other finished wood parts for this vehicle is available in our shop.

Anyone know for a fact if thats a factory piece or one that was redone using factory parts? I can make out what looks like a part number but is the wood a possible aftermarket piece added on? Either way... it looks great!

Looks to me like it's based on a factory console box, but with aftermarket wood added. Nice job though, at least in the photos.
