Found it slightly puzzling that the pump body says TI Automotive Poland on it and box was taped up. Pierburg was OE supplier to MB for late style pumps hence I ordered spares.

Has anyone bought a Pierburg pump and can comment please?

Yep, they are OEM. New OE dealer pumps are branded "TI Automotive" and made in Poland. See below, it's hard to make out, but the box clearly says Poland and the TI logo is visible below the Star logo.

Note this is for the LATE style single pumps on the 124 (late 1995), and late 1990's vehicles (W210, R129, W140, etc). Doesn't apply to any 500E nor the vast majority of E500's except the last couple hundred that rolled off the line.

EDIT: Pierburg 7.22156.50.0 / MB 000-470-59-94 rolls to 000-470-78-94 which may roll to 000-470-78-94-80 (reman).

Great stuff thanks Dave

I bought this pump yesterday on Ebay as below:

They overnighted from Poland and I got it today

BUT they also changed the price to align with the going rate when I went to buy more today
