My new Sunvalley rebuilt transmission is in. It seems to be working well as expected (a bit too soft in shifts, need to adjust the modulator) and it will kick down under throttle, however the kickdown switch is not engaging. Before I get under the car again, other than checking for power at the switch, what else can I check? Someone mentioned NSS?

Kickdown not kicking

This document shows the entire schematic of the kickdown circuit. The NSS is not involved at all.
If you put the shifter in "B" position will it hold 1st gear regardless of throttle position / RPM, until you move it out of "B"?
