LastVin not working?

Does anyone else have issues w LastVin? It hasn't worked for me in the alst 5 days or so; I was forced to use a different VIN data base tool that told me this C140 had the glass roof option which would be a nice upgrade for my SEC. 2.5 hours of driving each way showed this wasn't the case :|

Oddly both Mb.Vin and MBDecorder showed the car I looked at as having a glass sunroof, which it did not. Maybe they're wrong? Anyone had this before? It's option code 414 and present on both.

EPC shows 414, which makes sense as *all* the decoders pull option codes from the EPC... only the descriptions / translations may differ between decoders.

Could be the glass roof on that car was damaged and replaced with a steel one...?

Too bad that Lastvin has become unavailable. Hopefully it's just a temporary technical anomaly, such as the domain renewal lagging, and not that the site is permanently down. It was a useful site and the most accurate of the VIN sites out there. The ability to save a data card as a PDF doc, as well as being able to provide a direct link to said data card, was a welcome thing.

This is why when I could, I always downloaded Lastvin data cards as a PDF and attached them to cars for sale listings here, rather than just providing a link to Lastvin.com as others have done. Having a hard copy is always preferable and welcome, and any attachment gets preserved here through system backups as opposed to links, which can (as we have seen here) expire temporarily or permanently.

Something is wrong:

I ket a database of certain vins based on color. I ran all of these through lastvin a while back. When I run them now, they dont show up the same color

Did you manually paste the paint names in the column or retrieve that info using some script? Looks like an ongoing list of VINs so any chance it might be one-off typo? I just checked lastvin, vindecoderz, mb.vin, mbdecoder, EPC, WIS/ASRA and all showed Black 040.

Have a few sample VIN's? Could be spreadsheet corruption... accidental change to sorting / whatever. I can double-check in the EPC.

Could be an issue with the spreadsheet but I got data that didn't match on a handful on vins from that spreadsheet.

If this is Google Sheets then see if that particular cell history has ever had any other value before. Maybe MS Excel has something like that, haven't used it in years.
