London E500E Get-Together

Hello all,

I'm in London this week -- if anyone is around and would like to get together for a few pints' worth of E500E fellowship, please let me know. I'll be thrilled to buy!

I'm staying next to Paddington Station in central London and am flexible to get together any evening this week, through Friday night. Looks like I'll be in Paris for the day on Saturday but could also meet up for breakfast on Sunday morning.

Hey, don't forget to get the latest scoop on Talbir's super 6.3L motor project! I'm still waiting for an update about that...

Talbs and I corresponded this morning -- he and his family are just coming off of being gravely ill with the swine flu, so it's unlikely that I'll be able to see him while here. He's also been horribly busy with work which is why we don't see him on the boards more often than we do.

Perhaps this weekend if at all. That said, his 6.3 is still in the States and is awaiting shipment to the UK. Perhaps I will have more information to report soon.

Had a wonderful evening with Chaps on Wednesday -- great guy and big enthusiast. He took me to an amazing Persian (Iranian) restaurant that is literally across the street from Tony Blair's house. Pointed out the policemen guarding the entrance to the property and all. Chaps has a wonderful silver 500E and it was a pleasure to waft around the evening streets of London in his V-8 chariot. Thanks for a wonderful time, Chaps !!

Tonight I'll get together with Steve Hitchins for a few pints, and then (hopefully) this weekend with Talbir.
