Looking for spare modules ...

NotaBene

I am looking for spare modules for my E420. I have found an E GAS module on Ebay that is intended for a W140, 1992-1995.

I'm thinking that this will work for my car. Am I wrong?

Any advice on how to improve the chance of buying one that works?

Is it worth checking local wreckers?

Anyone have any they want to sell?

Thanks,
Rob

Your W124 with ASR will run & drive perfectly with a W140 E-GAS module. The ONLY drawback is the cruise control will not work.

I have an E-GAS module (124 545 0632...10/92) from a ‘92 ASR 400E...
Was tested and working in a running car with no ASR light on and working cruise control before put on the shelf...
If it might float your boat PM me with an offer that will float mine.

So to clarify, it came from a car with ASR, but the light wasn't on?

I'm a noob buying modules. What's a fair price?

Non-ASR cars have a T/LLR module.
ASR cars have an E-GAS module.

The two different module types are not interchangeable.
