Lost keys

When I lost a key, I went to MB dealer with a proof of ownership and they ordered a key based on my VIN number. It was quick too

Does your car have the original locks on the doors/ignition? If so, you can just go to your dealer and order a new key (or two). You will probably have to show them proof of ownership and personal identification.

I was just inquiring at the dealer a couple weeks ago when installing a new keyless entry system. Review to come 😎

Dealer here requires both your current registration and your current Driver’s license to order, no exceptions.

Keys are cut at MB Key Center in Texas and are $24 on the standard discount.

Keys are considered a "safety and security" item, so should you go to your local dealer to order new keys, they will require proof of ownership and identification. In the U.S. you can usually get a key from the dealer in 2-3 days. Order a spare or two to keep in a safe place.
