Hi all,

The time has came to fit new spark plugs to my project 1994 220CE 124 coupe. I have stuck with the tried and tested Bosch F8DC4 plugs on this engine and I am wondering if I should follow advice on other M104 + M119 engines that run that same plug – gapping up to 1mm VS 0.8mm factory spec?

Opinions please

I know you mericans aren’t familiar with such high CC motors - it’s an m111.960 in this beast :wow::wow::wow::wow: But it does have a fresh GVZ approved Oil filler cap so it's OK :yahoo:

I use 1mm. Just helps make for a nice idle.

Gents, thankyou for that I can confirm the plugs are now gapped to 1mm and torqued into place :)

Run car and plug gap will increase...over time save the re-gap for new plugs

You Americans? I know it's a German car but "can't we all just get along"?

Ok you Americans?......update....plug gap checked after some mileage.......08 to 1.2 mm read ...on plug gaps. ..set gaps at aprox between 1 to 1.1 mm..engine seems to idle a little smoother now...#4 plug needs a small extension and a swivel on top😉 for m119 engine
