Look at the muffler space underneath your 500E. I'm pretty sure that W208 muffler will not fit at all under a W124 without hacking up sheetmetal.

:(

The w202 AMG factory piping is 2.75". I am working on deleting the rear muffler on my 1995 C36. The car sounds great with just the resonator.

Tentative plan is to use the inlet piping from a spare C43 muffler on the shelf (so it bolts right on and doesn't require welding, hangers, etc...) and bolt on a set of tips to that piping. I am in search of dual square tips so it looks factory ish.

Do you own the system in the pictures or are considering buying it?

i have NOT tried to fit some muffler like this...but the muffler in the picture does look waaaay tooo wide to fit on the 036.

Dario,

If you haven't bought it DON'T BUY IT!! There is no room for that rear box on an 036 and I can't see much use for the rest of the stuff either. A while ago I posted my Renn Tech back box on Benz's Owner Thread take a look and you'll see why.

Take Care

Edit: Dario here are a couple of pic of the Renn Tech Back box. 1 w/ the Y-Pipe and 1 w/ the Magaflow resonator. At the Back Box there is not enough room.

How about this, M119 E50 I am thinking to convert for the 500, Twin pipe all the way, maybe the silenser has to be modifyed ( a bit too tall)
even the middle resonator if narroved down a bit could be used, in short a double bore system, all the way, would be nice with a
couple of free flowing catalysts in the middle...
