In these Easter and Corona times I used the opportunity to to wash the winter storage dust off my Nautical blue 500E. I have used the winter season to do a few upgrades on the car:
Resprayed all the lower panels and bumpers in the original color, including the impact strips which were black earlier. The car is facelifted with facelift hood and boot lid, but previous owners didn’t bother painting the impact strips. I bought new strips for the paint job and kept the black ones for a possible future return to stock. Also replaced the fog lights in the front bumper while doing the respray.
Another upgrade was replacing the front struts with new original units. Also replaced all »surrounding hardware«, all original MB parts. Also sourced the correct leather airbag for the W140 steering wheel I have in the car, replaced the fuel pumps, installed new dark blue velour floor mats and replaced the white indication lights up front due to a small crack in one of them.
Happy Easter to you all
