Ok Guys - as mentioned earlier, reluctantly, I have decided to sell the car. Not an easy decision after all the praises and graces I've given this car and other fellow owners alike. Without a garage facility to work in, for all that necessary tinkering and protection for the winter months, I feel it deserves to be passed on to another Enthusiast (If at all possible) than let it rot on the street.
The car was first registered February 1994 in Geneva, Switzerland and I am the 3rd owner. It was supplied by MB Garage de Nyon A&S Chevalley SA to its first owner and was serviced and maintained by them till 2004.
April 2004 at 75kkm it was sold by the same dealer to a good friend of mine who resides in Zurich. He paid a squint of SFR25,900 back then! During his ownership it was maintained by a MB specialist 'Guido Thaler AG' in Wintherthur. File of invoices I have ( all in german of course) I can easily scan of course if one would like to see. Just as an example, and in brief, one significant invoice work carried out at 129kkm shows:,
poltergeräusch hinten beheben
stossdampfer ausgeschlagen, ersetzen
Stossdampfer hinten
druckkugel
Stossdampfermontagesatz
Rechnung sfr2'970.95
Last serviced by this Indie was at 162kkm Nov 2009, bill SFR1834.70
February 2010 I acquired the car but basically stayed in storage in Zurich till December 2010 when I drove it back to UK
In my ownership the following work has been carried out:
December 2010
At 167kkm Oil/filter change
Lubricate front dampers

While underneath bottom harness was checked and surprisingly still intact
The car is pretty much all original apart from FGS, Cool harness and a Porsche CDR22 head unit/ipod connect with Blaupunkt Thb 200A subwoofer. 2 sets of wheels, stock 16" eight holes on winters and Polished Evo II on Bridgestone Potenzas (50% tread). Also, a original 3rd break light is fitted which is rare on Euro models. Current mileage is 175,200km(109500miles). I have all three original infrared remote keys, owners manual, documents and 2 X MB floor mats.
Mechanically, no running issues. A typical weep from p/s pump is slightly present but not enough for me to ever have to top up the fluid. Steering box is bone dry which was last checked when idler arm bushes were replaced. Brake pads are at 50%, rotors no deep lip and vibration. ATF is due a change at 180kkm, which I'm happy to have done for the right buyer.
Bodywork and interior: Now I know what you're thinking, "being a swiss car it's gotta have rust!". But , I myself, is very surprised that it has zero rust! Some fair wear & tear such as typical stonechips on the hood and bumper scuffs. Inside is 9 out 10, rear seats are hardly used, zero wear on passenger front seat, driver seat typical slight wear on bolster but not enough to warrant a refurb yet IMO. Hedliner totally unmarked and carpets regularly shampooed. PITA this beige interior but it keeps me on top of things as it shows when dirty and I'm very much a stickler when it comes to the interior. Yes, I'm the type who carry a small paint brush to rid off that dust in nooks and cranies.
Photos above in previous post is pretty much still what it is.
Not really sure what to ask for and I hate to put a price on her, so any suggestion is welcome or an offer for that matter. It's not on the market yet but I thought i'd give members first refusal, or at best what you think is a fair price??
I hope this brief history demonstrates how I did my best to look after such a legendary machine. Please feel free to ask any questions and give advise.
Many thanks, guys!

P.S Gerry, not sure if this post should be in the For Sale thread but feel free to transfer.
