I found som minor spots of rust in the spare wheel compartment. Some grinding, two layers of phosporic acid did miraculos results. I will paint it with original colors and new protective rugs. stay tuned..

Long time no see! I thougt i should check in and write some updates on what i have done to the car but the thing is i have only driven it to some GTG this summer. The car still has some hickups during idle despite new harness. I must dive into that during the Winter anyone got any idea? I will change the lower harness also.

needs renewal, I believe many here are in for a motor out of car, sad but true. If not don't expect a problemfree ride without the search for
multipple fault issues. Sooner before late, you have a whole winter ahead. Roger

I will investigate the problem further and will see what i find. It feels like some bad wires somewhere like the ETA or something but i must take it apart and look for myself. Anyone that has the part numbers for ETAs with the uppdated wiring or know where i can send my ETA for rebuild? As i understand it is a guy on youtube that does this kind of work.

Johan, your VIN (WDB1240361B928395) seems to indicate you need an early connector... if so, you can't use the one for sale that Bing linked to in post #155. But, double-check the connector type first!

Long time no see! So far i have only been driven aprox 240 km (150 miles) in the 2016 season. Not much has going on with the 036 but here are some Pictures. Cheers!

the tube that goes vertically on the side of the tube going down and under the front frame"rail"....its inserted into the side wheel well...with a rubber grommet around it...
i guess its a part of the gas fume system...but...i dont have it on my car..so i was wondering "what it is..and where it goes"...


By the way....your car looks AAAAWESOME!!! love the color both inside and outside!! cheeers

Good question! I actually have no idea but i guess, like you say, that it has something with the fuelcooler to do. Maybe the returnline (?) strange that you don't have it:s

hej der thank you so much for nice words..i am super glad you like the vids..though they are abit babbly sometimes..but at least they are there
no my car is repainted in 197...Obsidian Black..but it shure looks like 040 sometimes...but i recomend you to check out some pics..on the second last page..or last page..i have a cleaning session on it..and using a lamp..then you can see the real color of it..kindof a brown tone in it...veeery nice i think.

but yours...damn that is a nice color.Love it.

when it comes to the tube on your car...i did not "say" fuel cooler...but gas FUME..heh the fuel vapor system...that canister that layes under the front fender...

but its not a big deal really..but i was just interested if you had checked it out at some point

Ooh i see.. Obisdian must be a rare color on the E500Es. Of all E500Es in Sweden, not a single one is obsidian! Thank you. I love the colorcombo on it and quite odd to not have a sunroof either.Aha.. i wonder why yours don´t have it? I can check it next time i be in the garage

Today i flushed the SLS with shock absorber oil for motorcycles. I am going to fil with appropriate MB-SLS oil and filter.
