about cars My favourite car is W124 and I don't enjoy in other car so it's lifetime. I usually have 300D and I'm driving it daily. 500 was my dream that now is realised after 5 years of collecting money. Probably this one have some small issues that I didn't know maybe I needed expert to take a look but I think in generally it's very good. It's 150.000 km so I hope It will drive me some 40/50 years I see now that parts are rare and very expensive but little by little I'll get what's needed to be best it can. See if you can find the correct headlights though. The headlights on your car now are standard 124, not 500E. The lenses are different, and there is a reflector over the H3 bulb on your standard lights. You do not currently have the auxiliary high beam / pencil beam lights... the H3 portion of standard headlights are a fog light pattern (short throw, wide / flat / low aimed). The correct 500E lights have been NLA for many years, but can still be found, but they are expensive.
Be careful when buying if you want original/genuine 500E headlights. There are a lot of "fake" 500E lights out there, with standard 124 housings and a 500E lens attached... and, a lot of left-hand-traffic (UK/Japan/Australia) 500E lights too (these will have the wrong beam pattern). Correct 500E lights will be made by Hella (not Bosch), have no shield over the H3 bulb, proper 500E lenses with a clear (less opaque) lens over the H3 portion, and chromed lens frame. Also, the housings will have a vent hose connection since the air intake surrounds the headlights and is pressurized, the vent hose avoids moisture entering the lights and corroding the reflectors.

Data for this resource has been compiled continuously since mid-2003, and much of this information is seeing the light of day for the very first time ever. We are also providing analytics about the cars' production. This means that if you are curious as to how many "Signal Red" cars were produced for the US market with a black interior, specifically in Model Year 1993, you can now easily find this information. You can also find aggregated information -- for example, how many "Black Pearl" cars were imported into the US over the three-year span.
