Polishing Instrument Cluster Lens

Does anyone have a good recommendation for a product to polish the clear instrument cluster lens? The scratches aren't deep....you can catch a fingnail on them but can see them. Probably some cleaned at some point with an abrasive cloth.

Thank you

Kevin

@teke,
Kevin, Chances are you will make it worse. The only way to remove a heavy scratch in plastic is to sand it out with heavy grit sand paper with water. Once it’s gone you have to use lighter grits of sandpaper with sponge backing until it’s fine enough to polish.

This is not a job you want to do unless you’re a professional. How do I know this? For many years I worked in an aircraft plastics factory and was the guy who was sent out in the field to repair windshields in the planes when the pilots had complaints about the optics. Planes like Northrop’s F5A Fighter. or the T38 Trainer that the Astronauts still fly today and even a Lear Jet owned by a friend of Frank Sinatra.
