Power loss comes to an end...

As many of you may know I have been tinkering with my engine for several months now. Last week on my days off I was able to work a couple of days uninterrupted on my car. Knocked out several things. Anyway, I had previously replaced all of the vacuum tubing around the engine. One thing I had left out was replacing the rubber connectors for the vacuum lines. They did not look cracked and where still flexible so I paid little attention the first time around. I began to replace these for sport for the most part.

Much to my surprise I discovered that the line from the manifold to the EZL was blocked. Someone had inserted a small screw half-way into the tubing, hence blocking any communication to the EZL. Now the car runs entirely different. Specially after my 245 mile drive to work today. I was dumbfounded by the whole thing.. I still have some problems with the shifting. At times it doesn't want to shift and stays at about 5K rpm until I make the tranny shift by tapping the pedal. Power loss is felt once the if the tranny stays too long without shifting. As if the timing is retarded, not too bad like Limp mode, but you can feel it.. Btw, I did pull DTC 25 from PIN 19 once again. It hadn't come out in a while...

So, is the problem with the tranny not upshifting when it should causing the KS to go off or is it the other way around..? I have been trying to tune the shifts by adjusting the bowden cable and turning the black screw where the throttle cable goes through, which is immediately in front of it. I won't get a chance to work on it until I get back from a job site in a couple of weeks, so the more you can pick at my brain regarding he adjustment and KS trouble shoot, the better.. I am holding my O2 sensor culprit again, or clogged cats, for the time being. At least I have a lot of the power back.

Thanks everyone.
