Hi, I believe Gerry's good buddy Robert Fenton is only about 45-60 min away with no traffic near San Rafael.... which means north on 101 from Burlingame, then over the Golden Gate bridge, and then you are pretty much there. Isn't Robert suppose to be withour peer around these parts?
I use an MB shop that is only 25 min from Burlingame in Daly City but I would say they are only versed in
M119 cars as opposed to being very well versed.... PM me for details if you don't aim for Robert.

Bump, still needing some solid PPI recommendations.
I need a solution that is closer, I can't expect him to drive the car 1 hour for inspection. If somebody asked me to drive an hour I would tell them to fly a kite, lol! There has to be somebody closer...
If you want eyes and photography from an owner's perspective (like Ricardo mentions) then both R and I are in the area... in fact I wouldnt mind getting together WITH Ricardo and having a mini get together .... however if you want an opinion from an M119 expert then it is prob R Fenton. If you want a professional opinion from an MB and Porsche shop that are familiar with 500Es and M119s but perhaps not the absolute authority then you can use Junipero Serra MB and Porsche Service in Daly City which is less than 30 min away. Agreed on the mini-get together Jason, that would be cool, although see my post about chain rail bits in my oil pan, so you won't see my E500 anytime soon until I sort that out.
Oh, and just use Yelp for Mercedes Mechanic in Burlingame, there are some very close, and you can talk to shop owner to see how much E500 / M119 work they do.

Gentleman, I have decided to take a step back from this purchase for now...If my hat goes back into the ring, I will be in touch with you all to look over the car. Thank you all for your efforts up until this point.
