All,
A question about what type (and stock length if you know it) for the 15 inch AMG pre merger Aero I's

Pictures of the rims in question below... these would be going on a w124 (not 500e)

Thanks!

Ignore spacers in your answer (I know I might need 5 mm spacers).

Dan

Never seen those! I think Jono may be able to answer your question...

Yeah, any idea if they are all or cone seat? I need to order lugs in advance.
I honestly don't know. However, I've never heard of even early AMG wheels using anything except OE ball-seat lugs. If you can find any reference to other early AMG stuff using cone seat, then I'd be more worried.

It will be tough to buy the proper bolts before you get the wheels, to confirm the required length you may need to stick a lug into the hole and measure the rear protrusion. Again as a wild guess I'm suspecting these likely use a length which was common in the mid-1980's (there are only 1 or 2 lengths IIRC for 80's alloy wheels on 201/126).

Jono? You out there?

The general rule of thumb is all stock wheels are ball seat and aftermarket wheels are cone seat.. but honestly I can't say I'm 100% sure either.

Ball seat. Never seen a premerger wheel be anything but..:)

Rare wheels, had a set Years ago...forget who I sold them to.. Hmmm.
