Radiator to Expansion Hose Size

I am getting different hose sizes for hose from radiator to Expansion tank.

Genuine Mercedes Coolant Hose; Radiator Overflow Hose; 6mm ID x 9mm OD; Bulk | 0219977682 or 000000-000734-64 or an 8mm ID X 13mm OD. The hose currently installed is the larger size and too short as well as it doesn't have a MB part number.

Expansion hose should be 8mm ID, part number 000000-000734 (superceded to 000000-000734-64). It's not clear if MB dealerships still sell this part number as a 2-meter length (like the original part number was), or if it's now sold by the meter by the dealer. Given the crazy price I'd hope it's a 2M length.

Aftermarket vendors sell this hose part number by the meter, Be careful and verify you will not be sold two 1-meter lengths, which is useless. You need 2 continuous meters. Cut to length as needed, pre-facelift routing used 1.58M, facelift routing was 1.25M.

No, it is not related to length. The -64 suffix is a standard part number notation for a supplier change, often seen on brake rotors, for example.
