To Trucktec or not Trucktec

I always use OE Mercedes when available. Unfortunately, the timing chain rail for the om606 is NLA and all other "aftermarket" option s are gone as well. I was able to find a Trucktec from Europe. What are people's opinion on using the original one vs a new Trucktec one. I don't have any experience with using this brand. Anyone here actually have use history with the Trucktec rail? Thanks

If there are absolutely NO other alternatives... you have no choice.

Which chain rail is this, btw? Is your old one broken?

Doing full rebuild. This is the the banana rail that the tensioner pushes on. The other plastic guides are available from MBZ. The rail is NLA from all brands. I was able to get a Trucktec from Europe. It has a hard rubber lining. I have two old ones (one with more wear than the other).

I'd be tempted to re-use the old ones if they do not have excessive wear or damage.

If you use the Trucktec, I'd want to eyeball it for wear periodically... just in case... especially if the wear material is different vs the original.

Thanks Dave. I was hoping someone had some long-term data on using this brand for this particular part. This NLA stuff is pissing me off. haha
