Has anyone got a link to where I could buy, or an actual set they could give me the sizes of so I could make something, for the radio removal keys for an early (1990) R129 SL ? The keys look like a pair of open ended spanners with cranked ends and are inserted in the slim gap between the base of the radio and the centre console wood, the retaining clip stick up and latch into the bottom of the radio, not the sides.
The tools are seen very briefly on the video about R129 centre console removal on you tube. I belive a similar set up is used on certain years of W124s but in this case you can remove the ashtray to access the clips
They are NOT the knife blade style with the loops that we are all used to
Many thanks for any help that anyone can offer
