Rear wheel carrier paint/coating?

Just take out and dissassembled my rear subframe for refinishing. When taking off the dust shields I wondred what was the factory finishing in rear wheel carriers. Were they painted or zinc plated or what was the finishing?

I would like to refinish them like they were new.

And how about the axel flanges? Any coating when new?

PS. Has anyone reproduce rear subframe factory stickers? I'm about to reproduce those for refinishing.. Pic attached.

Most all of those parts would have been satin black paint finish from factory. Chassis black paint is available on ebay etc which has the same OEM spec finish.

They will need wired brushed etc first and well prepped. If it were me and i had it all apart I'd renew the suspension arms and wheel bearings etc.

Axle flange face is bare metal. Then brush on some grease before fitting brake disc. A w140 but same idea

Just did my rear subframe 8 months ago. No rust but was sand blasted lightly and was painted/baked at 600 degrees C.
Anti scratch, and very smooth.

Thanks. Plan is to have those shot blasted and powder coated with satin black (RAL9005) I think that is quite close to original factory paint.

Plan was to replace all suspension arms and bushings, bearings etc.

Have you painted new parts before installing? I think that storage paint is not that durable as 2k epoxy/polyurethane paint. I was thinking that slightly blast with sand/glass/soda and then paint again

No, new parts were left as per original color from factory. All front and rear control arms and links new.
Only the rear subframe and wheel hubs/carriers were blasted/painted.
