WANTED Renntech 6.0 500E

Neal, I haven't seen one for sale in some time, you can look through the forum classifieds to find the few that have popped up. RENNtech did not build many of these, perhaps a couple dozen or so. Hopefully you aren't picky about paint or interior colors.

Another option, if your budget allows, would be to buy a 500E in your favorite color combo and have a 6.0L engine built by Blue Ridge MB, or look for a used AMG 6.0L engine in Europe to swap in.

BTW, welcome to the forum!

Thanks for the welcome! You are right I haven’t seen any in a couple of years since they sold on bringatrailer.

Other option I was thinking was a converted e60 from Japan as those seen to come up a little more frequently and are not as expensive as an original E60 from europe.

Yes, buying a car from Japan is another option, but to get a decent deal you'll need to buy direct. If someone else imports it they're going to add a healthy markup once it arrives in USA. The problem with buying from Japan is you need a partner who can inspect the car in person and confirm the engine is still a 6.0L. I heard of at least one deal where someone bought an AMG 6.0L from Japan and it arrived overseas with a 5.0L engine. A similar concern exists with any 6.0 purchase of course, so be careful out there...
