Saving a rare c43

Overall, comfortable for daily?

I'm happy with my "now" ride height on R129, as the long nose and apron already "close to my max comfort zone", but I do what firm yet comfortable ride quality and handling that B8 gives me on my W202...
Cant tell yet because I havent refreshed the rest of the suspension yet. There are bushings down there that are shot.

I wanted to install the kit before this to make sure everything is good with it in case I needed to return or call the company.
It doesnt seem too harsh. I can adjust the softness of the shocks from the top with an allen wrench. I have it pretty firm right now.

I dont drive the car. I made a quick trip to a store just to pick up food so I took it out. Once suspension is fully refreshed, I will take it on longer trips then I will really know.

So far it feels nice if I take a corner a bit harder.

Cheers! Good looking kit, now the question... Why particularly YellowSpeed and not Ceika, not SF racing, TAtechnix? I'm considering coilover kit for R129, never had anything but the sport shortened shocks/springs on all of my prior cars, never a coilover, and as you can imaging, my choices for R129 are very limited (unless I go coilover route)
D, keep in mind that the W202 suspension is not the same as the 124/129/201 design. As discussed in older threads on this forum, be careful with coilovers on the 129. If the front coil spring is replaced, you are placing excessive load on the strut tower, that it was NOT designed to handle. Again, the W202 is different, with an upper A-arm. Oranges and Imperial-red apples.

I will run a 5mm in the back (we should get it close to your setup) and do an alignment as I think there is too much camber.
If you have adjustable rear camber, and are burning up the inside of the rear tires, have your tech aim for -1.0° or so. Uncorrected and lowered it may be -2.0° to -3.0°, which eats tires.

Ohhh yeah, that... Forgot, totally! Getting a little frustrating NOT being able to source anything for the time being. No B8, Eibach no longer makes spring for this car, H&R backordered with no ETA (I wish I never removed and never sold my H&R springs when transmission was going out). I will experiment with W124 B8, looks like would be the only option... I almost wonder what is the "cost" of B12 kit to a dealer, maybe find someone who can get me a good deal on that... But today's MSRP is $1700 for non-adjustable set from Bilstein :crack:

Sorry for highjacking the thread @PJmak

Regards,
D
