Folks,
I'm wondering if anyone has gone to (in past years) or plans to go to this event, on the Maryland Eastern Shore. It's happening on Sept. 29 this year.
Laura and I bought tickets and are planning to attend. Looks interesting and they've expanded the program this year. If anyone in the NoVa, DC, Delaware or Maryland area does want to go, we'd be happy to caravan with you and host you at our home in Annapolis before or after the event.
St. Michael's is a picturesque little town (I have been there before) and has some cool attractions, including a maritime museum focusing on the blue-crabbing industry, a super cool old-school East Coast style lighthouse that you can tour, and a working/active replica of the "America," which is the racing sailboat that the "America's Cup" was named after.
St. Michael's is about one hour's drive from Annapolis, so for you NoVa/DC guys it would be about two hours total. And.....an opportunity to go to some gas stations that sell "real" ethanol-free gasoline so you can treat your cars to some real juice.
Let me know if interested. Tickets are $50 each, available through the web site online.
Cheers,
Gerry
