Strut mounts replacement on 400E

So, one of my strut mount started to crack.
Went to my mechanic, who looked into AllData, and quoted me $600!!!
Apparently, alldata wants you to remove the shock as well!!!

Anyway I decided to do it myself.

Today I did one side (before the rain) in less than 45 minutes... Actually pretty easy to do, and no need to remove the shock.

Will do other side tomorrow...
That's it... Lol

332K and it’s just getting broken in! I think Mercedes is the only car that has a strut without the spring around it. A big score for the diy type.
