Sunroof question

Hi,
New to me E420 with the sunroof panel sagging in the back on the driver side. What is the best approach to fixing? I haven't tried opening it yet as I don't want to screw it up.

Should I try tilt first before opening? Or, is it ok to use the slide button? Any tips greatly appreciated:bowdown:

Sometimes the roof doesn't want to close evenly, as seen in your photo. I would try popping up and see what happens. It may close evenly when lowering from the popped-up position.

Either way, if the popup function works normally, try fully sliding opening next. Might just need disassembly, cleaning, and lubrication. I think there's a HOW-TO on this.

Thanks. I think I found the How-to thread. Just wanted to check with the forum to see if there was a certain sequence of things to try.
