I am in need of the third brake light assembly, not the sun shade. I made reference to the shade only as a point of reference. Thank you

The light assembly is the same with or without the optional sun shade (roller blind).

The MOUNT for the light is different, the mount is thicker/taller without sun shade, thinner/shorter with sun shade.

Try OTC classic they make reproductions 3d printed . Bought one for my w124 wagon. Looked good and fit great.

I have a black third brake light which was perfect until I tried to check out the bulb inside & the 2 side tabs broke off.
It has the base part with it, please see photos attached.
If it is any use to you to make up complete unit, you can have it for $25.

Thanks, I found a “last one, new in box” that was expensive, but worth it. My base that it slide into has the same issue, the tabs w/ the spring pieces is disintegrating also but the new light part I got seems to be staying in place. Thanks

would love a mount without the sunshade. When my car was dumbed down to look like a "sportline" - the parcel shelf was swapped with a shorty. Anyone have a taller one for sale? (and yes Virginia, I put it all back to 036 factory save the base.

@nocfn - if you want the standard (tall) mount WITHOUT roller blind / sunshade... order p/n 124-820-01-82-7101. Only Gray Color is still available you can paint it whatever color you want. $12 list, ~$8 discount. Get 'em while still available.

Again, the above number is not for USA-spec E500E with roller blind / sunshade, that shorty mount is NLA in all Colors.

Gerry is correct... A0018206956 is a coupé-specific light:

The C124's rear windscreen is angled more steeply than the sedan's, which is more upright.
