I don't think the 16's came in anything other that 7.5 wide, plus they look a little different, more con-caved than the 17's. I have a full polished pre-merger set on my 94 E420, I also have another pre-merger chromed set in good condition, (no rash-no damage), I'd let go, I believe the ET is 40. If interested I'll pull them out of storage and check the sizes, and grab more photos, I'm pretty sure they are 7.5 x 16 et40, should fit a TE perfectly. Attached is picture of the polished set on the E420 and a shot of the chromed set.
