Hey everybody

i want to swap the standard steering wheel in my 1996 G36 AMG for a more sporty one, while retaining the vintage look inside the cabin. I really dig the AMG steering wheel that was used in the Hammer and other classic AMG Models from the early days

AMG MOMO Hammer Steering Wheel Mercedes Benz W124 500E W126 560SEC R107 SL600 | eBay

Does anybody know, if this fits plug and play or will i need some sort of adapter ect?

Thanks!

Ben

That is a Momo steering wheel and yes, it needs a hub to fit a Mercedes. It also does not have an airbag, so if your G36 has a airbag, you would be losing a safety item and with the existing airbag unplugged, you will have a constant SRS light on your dash.

Looks like the wheel you linked to does not have the hub adapter for Mercedes, that might be a difficult item to locate

Thanks. The airbag issue would be fixable with a cable / resistor kit, so the srs lamp would stay off.

Has this one the needed hub?

Gerade bei #eBayKleinanzeigen gefunden. Wie findest du das?

Thanks

This wheels does have a W124 hub attached to it. It should work for your application as the splines are all the same.
