I am getting a code that I cant reset with my blinker . code 13.That may be the cause of my sluggish acceleration but I dont seem to find the part available anywhere.Pelican and Autohauz have non.I read many threads on the discontinued part.yes, I also plan on doing the mounts while I am there

Code 13 on what pin / what module?

Knock sensor is NLA, but make sure it is bad before you bother replacing it.

Sorry , I think pin 4 . What are the ohms requirements on the knock sensor cable that I can check at the EZL ? Sluggish when completely warmed up . From reading threads here someone had the same problem and their ebay used EZL fixed it .

Check the pin and code. Pin 4, code 13 is for intake air temp sensor. Code 13 for the EZL "Not used". Something isn't adding up...

You are right . I had 13 for the IAT sensor . I also had the knock sensor code and that was 5 on pin 17 which keeps coming back .

IAT will rarely cause any significant power loss or sluggish response. If that code keeps returning after clearing, check the connection and the IAT resistance, but I doubt it's your problem.

A bad knock sensor (or, bad EZL not recognizing a good knock sensor signal) can cause a noticeable lack of power.

Good . This assures me of the route to go when diagnosing ..I changed the EZL to another used one this morning but I haven't test drive it . If it doesn't fix it then I know my next route ....knock sensors and mount

I don't know if this will help in your search for a knock sensor, but I ordered this a few years ago, I think from PartsGeek, at the suggestion of @gsxr. I never got around to replacing it because I was planning to do the motor mounts at the same time. The mounts I replaced with BBB are still good after almost a decade.

Good to know , partsgeek have this part . Thx

I didn't check to see if they still have it.

EDIT: The EPC shows knock sensor 003 153 4428 superseded by 003 153 4728. When I check PartsGeek I'm not seeing either. Both are NLA from the dealer. Maybe the numbers on my box will help in finding one.

so, I am more likely out of luck and possibly stuck with a junkyard with the mounts.ouch

Now that you mentioned it, that would be a tough part to pull off a wrecked junkyard car because it would require loosening the motor mounts and lifting the engine to get to the sensors on each side. Maybe that’s why I don’t see any used M119 knock sensors on eBay. And I suspect @gerryvz would want at least €5000 for his.
